Nine-time World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb (Dacia) and his co-driver Edouard Boulanger have clinched victory in the second round of the World Rally-Raid Championship in Portugal.
The duo seized the lead on the second stage and remained unchallenged by their rivals until the finish. This marks the second win for Loeb and Boulanger in their last three starts. They previously triumphed at the Morocco Rally-Raid at the end of 2025, finished 4th in the Dakar Rally earlier this year, and have now added another victory to their impressive record.
"We won a fantastic race," Loeb stated at the finish line. "I have fond memories of Portugal from my WRC days. The race was far from easy, especially the stages filled with technical sections and numerous corners, but our car performed exceptionally well. We've secured crucial points for the championship."
As a WRC driver, Seb previously secured two victories in Portugal with Citroën in 2007 and 2009, but he was quick to point out that the two competitions are not comparable.
Rounding out the top three were Seth Quintero/Andrew Short (Toyota), who finished 2 minutes and 46 seconds behind the winners, and the Portuguese crew João Ferreira/Filipe Palmeiro (Toyota), 3 minutes and 37 seconds adrift.
