Buoyed by their derby victory over Liverpool (2:1), Manchester City settled their match against Fulham within the first half, putting additional pressure on league leaders Arsenal, who are now just three points ahead before their tricky away game at Brentford.

City took the lead in tonight's encounter through Antoine Semenyo, who capitalized on a poor defensive reaction to a cross from Matheus Nunes in the 24th minute, slotting the ball into the net to make it 1:0.

Six minutes later, Semenyo turned provider, setting up Nic O'Reilly for the second goal. Then, in the 39th minute, Erling Haaland extended the lead to 3:0 with a strike from the edge of the box.

In the second half, Pep Guardiola's side managed their lead effectively to secure another three points.

An exceptionally exciting first half was also witnessed at Selhurst Park, where Burnley staged an incredible seven-minute blitz to overturn a two-goal deficit against hosts Crystal Palace, ultimately securing a victory that keeps their survival hopes alive.

The London side, through newcomer Jørgen Strand Larsen who joined this winter for €52 million, held a 2:0 lead by the 33rd minute and seemed to be cruising towards a comfortable win against the relegation-threatened side. However, a cold shower awaited the hosts in the final moments of the half.

First, Hannibal Mejbri halved Burnley's deficit in the 40th minute, before Jadon Anthony leveled the score at 2:2 in the 44th minute.

The shocks for the Palace fans didn't end there. In the second minute of stoppage time, a Jefferson Lerma own goal completed the visitors' comeback and, as it turned out, sealed the final score of the match.

Aston Villa also secured a victory, defeating Brighton 1:0 in front of their home crowd.

The only goal at Villa Park came in the 86th minute, scored by Tyrone Mings, who rose highest in the six-yard box following a corner to head home the winner for his team.

Nottingham Forest dropped crucial points in their fight for survival, drawing 0:0 at their City Ground against last-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.
