Following Tervel Zamfirov's bronze medal win, Bulgaria now sits in 13th place in the medal standings at the close of the second day of competition at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

For Bulgaria, Zamfirov's medal marks only the seventh in Winter Olympic history and the first since Turin 2006. He secured it in the parallel giant slalom snowboarding event after a dramatic photo-finish victory in the small final.

With one bronze medal, Bulgaria shares 13th place in the medal table with Canada and China, both of whom also have a single bronze. Norway leads the pack with three gold, one silver, and two bronze medals, while the United States holds second place with two golds. Host nation Italy boasts the most medals overall, but with one gold, two silver, and six bronze, they are currently in third. Other nations that have earned medals so far include Japan, Austria, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, and South Korea.
