Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has addressed the team's current form and unity. This past weekend, the Premier League champions snapped a five-match winless streak in the league with a convincing 4-1 victory over Newcastle. Their last two outings have seen them secure wins with an aggregate score of 10-1, signaling a potential upturn in their fortunes.

“The fact is, we are the Premier League champions, but we haven't been performing consistently enough. That's just a fact. Criticism comes, and we have to accept it. We just need to keep moving forward. I don't think there has ever been any doubt internally within the squad about our unity. I don't believe there's any lack of harmony. Obviously, there are challenges, and everyone deals with certain situations differently,” Van Dijk stated.

“The question is how we deal with this together, and how we fix it and turn things around. That's something that makes you stronger as a team. If you come out of such a situation, as you should – and I hope we do, because we have the quality – then I think it can only improve you as a team and as a player,” the Dutchman added.
