Mykhaylo Mudryk has been suspended for four weeks from the Counter-Strike 2 gaming platform FACEIT, following a series of offensive comments made during a match.

The 25-year-old Ukrainian winger for Chelsea made several references to the massacres of Poles in the Volhynia region and Eastern Galicia, which occurred during World War II, via the game's text chat. This historical episode, alongside Germany's invasion of Poland in 1939, resulted in the deaths of approximately six million Poles and remains a sensitive topic between Poland and Ukraine.

The situation escalated after his opponents provoked him about a failed anti-doping control in June 2025, leading the attacker to retaliate with the offensive comments.

It's worth remembering that the former Shakhtar player, who cost the London club 70 million euros in 2023, faces a suspension of up to four years from football after testing positive for a substance banned by The FA in a control conducted in December 2024, and again in a second test in June.

Mudryk's last official match was in January 2025.
