Mick Schumacher has completed his inaugural oval test as he gears up for his debut season in the American IndyCar Series.

The German driver began his preparations for the six oval races on the 2026 calendar at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. This 1.5-mile oval features banking between 18 and 20 degrees in the turns and 4 degrees on the straights.

For the 2026 season, Schumacher will compete for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, piloting the No. 47 car. This is the same number Schumacher used during his Formula 1 stint with Haas in 2021 and 2022.

His move to IndyCar follows two years in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) with Alpine. Across 16 races, including two appearances at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Schumacher secured three podium finishes.
