Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is set to hold another meeting with his teammates on Monday to address the issues threatening to derail the Reds' Champions League qualification bid and potentially scupper the 20-time English champions' season.
The Dutch international was reportedly furious with the team's performance following Saturday's 1-1 home draw against Burnley in the Premier League. This marks the Merseyside club's fourth consecutive draw, matching a negative streak from 2008.
"I'm disappointed that after the 60th minute, we started to become even sloppier, and this isn't the first time. We've discussed it before, but clearly, we need to talk about it again, and Monday will be a crucial moment because two days later, we have a very tough match there, not just because of the atmosphere, but also against a (Roberto) De Zerbi team that makes things very difficult for you. It's not about me discussing it, but how we can solve it, because we all want to win games, and we had many chances to do so (against Burnley)," Van Dijk stated, as quoted by British media on Sunday.
On Wednesday, Liverpool travels to Olympique Marseille for a Champions League group stage fixture.
