Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo rejoined Manchester United training this morning. Both players were with the Ivory Coast and Cameroon national teams for the Africa Cup of Nations, but their respective sides were eliminated over the weekend. Interestingly, the duo participated in the Red Devils' first training session under new interim manager Michael Carrick, following the former midfielder's official appointment yesterday on a contract until the end of the season.
Mbeumo and Amad Diallo have forged a productive partnership on the right flank since the start of the season, collectively contributing nine goals for their club. Noussair Mazraoui is the only remaining Manchester United player still competing for the African trophy, with his Morocco side set to face Nigeria today for a spot in the final. Currently, Matthijs de Ligt is the sole Red Devils player sidelined with an injury, dealing with back issues. This is excellent news for Carrick, who will be able to count on both players for Saturday's derby against Manchester City, scheduled for 2:30 PM Bulgarian time.
