Paratici had only returned to North London in October, having previously departed the club in 2023 following allegations of accounting fraud during his tenure at his former club, Juventus.
The Italian subsequently received a 30-month ban from football activities by FIFA, but continued to work for Tottenham as a consultant and officially rejoined the club at the start of this season.
Since late December, media outlets have linked Paratici with a return to Italy to take up a role at Fiorentina. This move is set to materialize after the current transfer window closes on February 2nd.
“I want to thank CEO Vinai Venkatesham and the Tottenham board for accommodating my desire to return to Italy and join Fiorentina. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club, but this opportunity, coupled with the need to be back in my homeland, led me to this decision.”
“Spurs are a club very close to my heart. There are fantastic people working there who are as passionate about the project as I am and are committed to achieving long-term success. I have no doubt they will succeed, and I will be following them closely from Italy,” DPA news agency quoted Paratici as saying.
