Real American Freestyle is set to host its next event in Florida on January 10th, with the full fight card now officially revealed.
The complete fight card for RAF 5 has been announced, featuring a lineup packed with UFC superstars, Olympians, and world champions.
In the main event of the evening, former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington returns to his wrestling roots. He will face off against former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold. Covington will be at a significant size disadvantage, but he hails from an elite wrestling background. Rockhold, on the other hand, is known as a well-rounded mixed martial artist, making this a true clash of styles.
The co-main event sees three-time NCAA wrestling champion Bo Nickal back in action against Olympic silver medalist and the evergreen 48-year-old Yoel Romero. The Cuban is coming off a dominant 12-0 victory over Pat Downey at RAF 4. That match marked Romero's first competitive wrestling appearance in over 20 years.
High-ranked UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan will make his Real American Freestyle debut. He is set to face former Ohio All-American wrestler and multiple PFL champion Lance Palmer in one of the event's featured bouts.
In a rematch from the Tokyo Olympics, Kyle Dake will seek revenge against Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov, after their initial encounter at the 2020 Games. Kadimagomedov delivered a stunning upset then, defeating the American by technical fall with a score of 11-0 before going on to win the silver medal.
Now, they meet again at RAF 5, with Dake aiming to avenge his previous loss.
Another intriguing addition to the card is two-time NCAA champion Steve Mocco, currently the head wrestling coach at American Top Team. Mocco is coming out of retirement and will wrestle for the first time in over a decade, with Olympian Mustafa Elders as his opponent.
