Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Olympiacos midfielder Christos Mouzakitis, according to "TEAMtalk". The report claims that the Manchester club has regularly scouted the 18-year-old talent throughout this season and is now preparing to take more serious steps towards securing his signature.

Mouzakitis is a product of Olympiacos' youth academy and has already made over 50 appearances for the Greek giants across all competitions. This current campaign has seen him feature 16 times, including five appearances in the Champions League. The midfielder also made his debut for the Greek national team last year and has since accumulated seven caps for his country.

According to the publication, Olympiacos are determined to retain the player and believe that his value could reach between £25 and £35 million in the near future. A transfer away from his boyhood club is considered most likely next summer, with United being the latest elite European club to show interest in him.

Mouzakitis' contract with Olympiacos runs until the end of the 2028/29 season, but it appears United might attempt to bring him to Athens as early as next year. However, the "Red Devils" could face stiff competition for his signature, as other clubs, including Real Madrid, are also reportedly vying for the teenager.
