Both goals at Old Trafford came in the second half, scored by Diogo Dalot for the hosts and Sungutu Magasa for the visitors.

The match kicked off with an early scare for the Hammers as Amad Diallo went down in the box, but referee Andrew Kitchen waved away penalty appeals. Mid-way through the first half, United created several promising opportunities that ultimately went unconverted. Bryan Mbeumo's shot from the edge of the area was parried by goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, Joshua Zirkzee's header was blocked by a defender, and Bruno Fernandes's subsequent effort narrowly missed the post.

Manchester United finally broke the deadlock in the 58th minute through Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese defender found himself in the right place at the right time in West Ham's penalty area, slotting the ball home after a shot from Casemiro.

United then had another good chance through Matheus Cunha, but the Brazilian also failed to beat Areola. Ultimately, these missed opportunities proved costly in the 84th minute when Sungutu Magasa equalized from a corner, making it 1-1. Following the cross, Jarrod Bowen's header was cleared off the line by Noussair Mazraoui, only for the ball to fall to Magasa, who tapped it into the unguarded net.

In stoppage time, Manchester United still had a chance to snatch all three points, but Bruno Fernandes, from promising positions, failed to hit the target on two separate occasions.

With this draw, Manchester United leapfrogged Liverpool in the standings, now sitting in eighth place with 22 points. West Ham, on the other hand, remain in the relegation zone, just below the safety line with 12 points.
