Crystal Palace full-back Daniel Muñoz has admitted that playing for Manchester United would be a "dream come true," placing the Premier League rival at the pinnacle of his career aspirations.

The Colombian defender has been a pivotal figure in Oliver Glasner's squad, even providing the assist for the winning goal in the historic FA Cup final against Manchester City in May.

Last season, Muñoz scored six goals and registered eight assists across all competitions. This impressive form has reportedly attracted interest from European giants such as Barcelona and UEFA Champions League winners PSG.

However, when questioned at a press conference about rumors linking him to bigger clubs, the 29-year-old didn't hesitate to share his feelings about a potential future transfer.

“First and foremost, I think there’s a lot of talk about one club or another. If you ask me, it would be a dream come true to play for one of these clubs, be it Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United.”

Muñoz further added: “I believe I am working towards that; I strive every day to one day catch the attention of one of these clubs, because it is a dream of mine to get there.”

“Right now, I’m focused on my club, on doing things well at Crystal Palace. If you ask me, I have no concrete information that any of these clubs are interested in me. My focus is on Crystal Palace; we’ll see when the winter transfer window approaches. For now, I am fully concentrated on these two national team games,” he concluded.

Daniel Muñoz signed a four-year contract with the Selhurst Park club in January 2024, following his €8 million transfer from Genk in Belgium.
