Alex Marquez (Gresini Ducati) led the Valencia Grand Prix sprint from start to finish, seizing the lead from Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) into the first corner and remaining unchallenged thereafter.

Pedro Acosta on his KTM was Marquez's closest pursuer. For roughly half of the 13-lap distance, he stayed tight with his compatriot, but eventually fell back by almost a second and a half.

The most intense battle was for third place between Raul Fernandez and Fabio di Giannantonio, who exchanged positions multiple times. Di Giannantonio ultimately secured the podium spot just before the finish line.

Polesitter Bezzecchi braked earlier for the first corner, allowing Marquez to overtake him. Marco then dropped to sixth, eventually climbing to fifth on lap 5, a position he held until the end. This result secured Bezzecchi third place in the final 2025 MotoGP season standings.

The race proved disastrous for both factory Honda riders. Joan Mir crashed early on the second lap, taking out Luca Marini. Mir immediately apologized after both riders got back on their feet in the safety zone.

Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia finished the sprint in 13th place. Acosta's second-place finish saw him overtake Bagnaia for fourth in the standings, now four points ahead of the former world champion.
