Chelsea will have to manage without winger Pedro Neto for their Champions League group stage matchday four fixture against FK Qarabag in Baku on Wednesday. The 25-year-old Portuguese international did not finish Saturday's London derby against Tottenham (1-0) and, according to manager Enzo Maresca, is dealing with a minor injury.
“It’s nothing serious, just a minor issue. We’ll be resting him, so he won’t play tomorrow,” the Italian manager was quoted as saying by DPA. Neto has been a fixture in The Blues' starting eleven, featuring from the start in all ten Premier League matches this season.
Maresca also confirmed that midfielder Cole Palmer will be unavailable for Chelsea due to a groin problem until the next international break.
