Cristiano Ronaldo isn't holding out for miracles from manager Ruben Amorim and his Manchester United squad. The former Red Devils star doesn't believe his compatriot can turn things around for the 20-time English champions, who have been inconsistent in recent seasons.

"He's doing everything he can. What else can he do? Miracles don't happen. In Portugal, we always say that miracles only happen in Fátima. And Amorim won't perform a miracle. United has some very good players, but some of them have no idea what it means to wear this club's shirt," the Al Nassr forward stated in an interview with Piers Morgan.

"I'm sad. This is one of the most important clubs in the world, and a club I still hold in my heart for obvious reasons. You need to follow intelligent, smart people to build a foundation for the future, just as Manchester United did so many years ago. Currently, the club lacks structure. I hope this changes, because the club's potential is incredible," the Portuguese added.

According to Ronaldo, United has no chance of winning the title, but Arsenal has a real opportunity to do so this season. The Portuguese also admitted that before his transfer to Old Trafford, he was close to signing with the Gunners.

"It's true. Many years ago, I was close to joining Arsenal… but that's in the past. Honestly, when I watch Arsenal, I always see them not as a rival. I like the team, I like it when they win. Is it possible for them to win the title? Yes, it's possible. However, it's impossible for Manchester United, because they are already too many points behind."
