Ronaldo Saddened by United's Plight
"For me, it's sad for the club, which is one of the most important clubs in the world, and which, for obvious reasons, is still in my heart," Ronaldo began in a joint interview for his own YouTube channel and Piers Morgan Uncensored on Talk TV.
"You need to work with intelligent, smart people to build the foundations for the future, just as Manchester United did many years ago. Nicky Butt, Gary [Neville], Roy Keane, Beckham – they all became great players, but they started young. Manchester United currently lacks structure. I hope this will change in the future, in the near future, because the potential within the club is amazing. It's one of the most important clubs of this century," said the Portuguese legend.
The Al-Nassr and Portugal national team superstar added regarding Amorim's task: "He's doing his best, what else can he do? He can't perform miracles. In Portugal, we say: 'Miracles only happen in Fátima'... And he won't perform a miracle either. They have good players, but some of them have no idea what Manchester United means."
When asked about United's title chances this season, Ronaldo replied: "It's impossible for them to win the Premier League. They are already too many points behind Arsenal."
