Newcastle took the lead in the 18th minute when Jacob Murphy opened the scoring against the London visitors. This was the only goal of the first half.
However, Fulham didn't give up, finding an equalizer in the 56th minute through Saša Lukić. The Serbian international leveled the score with a header after his teammate Raul Jimenez had previously struck the crossbar.
This marked only Saša Lukić's second goal for Fulham, and his first of the current season.
