It wasn't an ideal start for Arsenal. Martin Ødegaard, unfortunately, suffered another injury in the 30th minute and had to be replaced by his namesake, Martin Zubimendi. However, this setback didn't deter the Gunners, who finally broke through the London team's defense in the 38th minute.

Declan Rice opened the scoring in the 38th minute. Before halftime, Riccardo Calafiori missed a golden opportunity, hitting the post. The Gunners went into the break the happier side, but the job was far from done.

Arsenal continued their pursuit of another goal, which arrived in the 68th minute. Diouf fouled Jurrien Timber, and Bukayo Saka confidently converted from the penalty spot.

That was enough for Mikel Arteta's side, who didn't press further for goals. West Ham, meanwhile, continued their struggles following a managerial change. Nuno Espírito Santo faces a significant challenge at the helm of the Hammers.

Arsenal now sits atop the league, at least temporarily, with 16 points, while Liverpool has 15. The Reds are set to play Chelsea at 6:30 PM, and a victory would see them leapfrog the Gunners. West Ham, on the other hand, is in 19th place with four points.
