Napoli and Manchester United have reached a full agreement for the transfer of the Red Devils' Danish striker, Rasmus Højlund, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano and media outlets in both the UK and Italy.

The 22-year-old will join the Partenopei on a loan deal valued at €6 million. Napoli will have an obligation to buy Højlund permanently for €44 million if certain conditions are met.

Højlund agreed to personal terms with the Italian champions several days ago and is set to undergo a medical within the next 24 hours. Napoli accelerated their search for a new striker following the serious injury to Romelu Lukaku.

Højlund has prior experience in Serie A, having joined Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023 for a fee of nearly €78 million. However, the Dane has generally underwhelmed, scoring 26 goals and providing 6 assists in 95 total appearances for Manchester United.
