The Blues had a rocky start to the match. Just 14 minutes in, Liam Delap was forced off the pitch with an injury, replaced by Tyrique George. This briefly unsettled Enzo Maresca's side, and they were seemingly punished in the 21st minute when Joshua King found the net. However, the goal was disallowed for a foul in the build-up, resetting the score to nil.

However, deep into first-half stoppage time, João Pedro scored a brilliant goal, assisted by Enzo Fernández. The Brazilian struck just moments before the whistle, sending both teams to the dressing rooms with Chelsea in the lead.

Chelsea stuck to their game plan after the break. They continued to press, and in the 56th minute, the match was all but decided. Enzo Fernández converted from the penalty spot to seal the victory. Fulham's troubles weren't over, as just a few minutes later, Estevão had a clear chance to make it 3-0, but Leno made an excellent save.

There was little excitement for the remainder of the game. Chelsea had secured the result and kept Fulham pinned in their own third. Marco Silva had no answer for the Blues' dominant performance, who have now scored seven goals in three matches against London-based teams. In the next round, Chelsea will face Brentford, while Fulham will play against Leeds.
