Leeds and AC Milan drew 1-1 in a friendly at Dublin's Aviva Stadium. Bulgarian international Ilia Gruev started on the bench, coming on in the 67th minute. Seconds after his introduction, the Yorkshire side equalized through Anton Stach, who received the ball from Gruev. Santiago Gimenez had opened the scoring in the 31st minute.

This was the first meeting between the two sides in almost 24 years. Luka Modric was on the bench for the Rossoneri but didn't feature. He is expected to play tomorrow when Massimiliano Allegri's side face Chelsea in another friendly.

Daniel Farke's side started brightly and could have taken the lead in the 10th minute. Following a quick attack, Stach's shot rattled the crossbar. The German international, a summer signing from Hoffenheim, had a strong game. However, Milan took the lead after half an hour following a well-worked move finished off by Gimenez.

Leeds had more of the possession after the break but lacked ideas in the final third. Midway through the second half, Farke made a series of substitutions, and his side equalized immediately. Gruev found Stach, who unleashed a superb long-range strike. The Rossoneri finished the game stronger and twice threatened the Leeds goal in the closing minutes, but couldn't find a winner.
