Heung-Min Son and Eric Dier hopeful of being fit for Tottenham’s clash against Chelsea

Son sustained a calf injury on international duty with South Korea and missed his side’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday as a consequence. Dier limped out of the defeat in south-west London with a dead leg and the club had initially been pessimisstic about his chances of returning for this weekend’s clash against Chelsea. However, the Telegraph report that Dier is ‘hopeful’ of facing the Blues while Son has not ruled out a return. However, the defeat, which saw Japhet Tanganga sent off, was a worrying one for supporters as it exposed the side’s lack of creativity. Harry Kane appeared isolated in attack, particularly without the aid of Son. Spurs take on Rennes in the Europa Conference League on Thursday before hosting Thomas Tuchel’s side on Sunday.
